titled. Terre Haute, Indiana painter. Turman studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He exhibited at the Hoosier Salon, Swope Art Gallery, Indiana Art Club, and the Indiana State Fair. Turman was head of the art department at Indiana State Teacher’s College.
