William Pye Vessel I Bronze Modern weathered green patination 109cm.; 43ins high by 165cm.; 65ins diameter William Pye was born in London in 1938 and studied at the Wimbledon School of Art from 1958-61 before studying at the Royal College between 1961 to 1965 and was initially promoted by the Redfern Gallery before choosing to represent himself in the early 70's. Who's Who lists two retrospectives one at Winchester in 1979 and one in Hong Kong in 1987. He has produced numerous Public and Private commission such as Zemran on the South Bank of the Thames and Slipstream and Jetstream in Gatwick Airports Noth Terminal and the Water Wall in the British Pavilion at the Seville Expo of 1992.
