William L. Woods (1916-), "Walbeswick, Suffolk", signed and dated 1952, artist's label inscribed on verso, watercolour, 27.5 x 48cm.; 11 x 19in. * Studied at Lowestoft school of Art 1937-8, then Hornsey School of Art for two periods 1938-9 and 1946-7. Did book illustration and showed at the Royal Academy, Royal watercolour Society Royal Institute of Oil Painters and in the provinces.
