Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. has endeavoured to catalogue and describe correctly, the property to be sold, but it does not guarantee or shall not be held responsible for the correctness of description or the authenticity or condition of same. No statement contained in this catalogue or made orally by one of their employees or agents, at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such warranty or assumption of liability. All sales are final and to be paid for at close of each session. The records of the clerk shall be accepted by the buyer and seller alike, as the correct amount for which lot is sold. In case of a dispute between two bidders, the lot in question will be reoffered. However, should you wish to dispute a bid it must be done immediately. (Prior to the sale of the following lot). Then, and only then, at the auctioneers discretion, he may reoffer that article.
The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse any bid or advance the bidding, at his absolute discretion. Any attendant employed by Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. is allowed to bid on any lot they so desire. Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. has the right to withdraw or divide any lot or to combine any two lots at their sole discretion without previous notice. All parties bidding at this sale shall be held to have informed themselves of any fault or defect in any lot ant to all the regulating conditions. Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. is not to be held responsible in any matter connected with commissioning of their staff to buy or bid for any lots in the sale. Advance bids in person or by telephone are accepted only at the bidders risk. All painted forms and other fine art work forms are sold according to Art Works notice on inside back cover of the catalogue. All works are subject to the conditions of sale No. 1. Sizes mentioned are of the work only. All tax exemptions will require the completion in full of all necessary forms obtained from the office. When registering for your bid card number note that the items purchased on that number are sole responsibility of the registrant. If within 7 days after sale of the lot, the purchaser gives notice in writing to Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. that the lot sold is a deliberate forgery and within 7 days after such notification, the buyer returns the same to Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. in the same condition as at the time of sale and satisfies Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. that the lot in question, as described in the Catalogue, is a deliberate forgery, then the sale of the lot will be rescinded and the purchase price of the same refunded. If the buyer fails to pay and take away any lot without special arrangement Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. as agents of the Seller shall be entitled at their absolute discretion to resell the lot in question without notice to the Buyer. Although it is the opinion of Grand Valley Auctions Ltd. that reserve bids are ambiguous to the public auction market; infrequently they are of necessity to safeguard the Vendor who may be protected during the sale by themselves or someone of their choosing (who may be the auctioneer).
Failure to pick up purchased articles within one week of sale will result in a surcharge of $5.00 per lot per day.
Under Canadian law, HST ( 13% ) will be charged on the total invoice price.
Due to export laws, furs will not be shipped outside of Canada. International bidders do have the option of picking up furs from Grand Valley Auctions in person only.
