Description

Wasset (Julie-Ange, 1802-1842). Sweetpea, Carnation and Daisies, pencil and watercolour on vellum, signed and dated 1833, 17.5 x 12.5cms (7 x 5ins), framed and glazed. Julie-Ange Picart (née Wasset) was born in Paris, and exhibited at the Salons of 1831, 1833, 1836, 1838 and 1840. She was a verified pupil of Redouté (see Elizabeth Hardouin-Fugier, The Pupils of Redouté (1981). (1)
