Walter John Bayes RWS (1869-1956) - Youngsters undressing on the rocks, oil on canvas, monogrammed lower right, 29 x 39cm Born in London, Bayes studied at the Westminster School of Art. He was a founding member of the Camden Town Group (1911) and of the London Group of Artists in 1913. He regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and in other major galleries. Works by him are held in the Imperial War Museum, Tate Gallery and many others worldwide
