Lot 88: WALTER JAMES WEST - ENGLISH PASTORAL SCENE - ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR - C.1930

BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE - an original watercolor by listed British Artist Walter James West (1882-1942). Signed by the artist. In near fine condition with a sheet size of 10 X 7 inches, and on good thick white watercolor paper. West was a regular teacher of drawing at Vittoria Street Jewellery School, where he worked until his death in 1942. Mr West became an associate of the RBSA in 1936 and was a recognised artist amongst his peers, frequently exhibiting at The Birmingham Art Circle throughout the 1930s. He mostly exhibited landscapes in watercolour often depicting seascapes, architectural and topographical scenes.
