Fine content A.L.S. 5pp. 8vo., [London], June 9, 1925, in German to Herr Hoffmann [Josef Hoffmann?], in part: "...I gather from your happy letter that you have gone to Vienna...on the 9th I am still conducting in Berlin and thus not ready to rehearse in Paris...One question: is Trocadero even possible? Only just today I have been told that the acoustics would kill everything. In that case, the concert would not allow me to make an impression and to have success....On the 17th I am conducting in Liverpool...following will be two concerts in London...One evening before these ensemble rehearsals a piano rehearsal with the choirs...Following that I will have the tour with the Vienna Philharmonic...at the end of August, Salzburg... ". At the time of this writing, Walter had assumed the directorship of the Berlin State Opera, a post he held until 1929. Boldly penned, slight rusted paper clip impression at top corner, otherwise very good. $150-200
