Wahab Jaffer, Pakistan b.1941- Portrait of two women; oil on canvas, signed and dated 83, bears inscription on the reverse, 87.7x39.3cm. Note: Wahab Jaffer studied under leading Pakistani artist Ahmed Parvez 1972-9. Jaffer's figurative style - often depicting women - was noted for its vibrancy and rich colours. Solo exhibitions followed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Karachi as well as many mixed shows in Dubai, India and elsewhere. Jaffer's work is held by the Asia-Pacific Museum in Pasadena, California and the National Museum of Pakistan.
