CATALOGUE NOTE

The son of an ornemaniste, Gréber studied under Fremiet and Mercié and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français. One of his principal works was a fountain of Narcisse for the Luxembourg (destroyed 1941) and another opposite the town hall in Beauvais. His son, Jacques Gréber (1882-1962) became a prominent landscape architect in Philadelphia and Ottowa.
