each with a rectangular padded back above padded arms and loose cushion seat within a moulded beaded frame, on stop-fluted tapering legs terminating in toupie feet

NOTE

Sulpice Brizard (1735-1799), received master 1762.

Brizard opened his workshop in 1765 where he basically produced seat furniture in the neoclassical style. His furniture is regarded as being of restrained and elegant shape with very fine and delicate carving. In the mid 1770's Brizard started working for the French court and acquired the stock of François Foliot in December 1781.
