(49 7/8 x 44 in.), signed and dated lower right, original exhibition label from the World's Fair (Louisiana Purchase Exhibition) of 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri affixed to strecher verso, bearing the name in Cyrillic of E.M. Grundwalt, the Executive Commissioner of the Russian Exhibiton to the World's Fair, and a partial label with title and serial No. 112; also bearing the original U.S. Customs Label affixed to the stretcher verso. This painting was exhibited at one of the most important exhibitions of Russian art that took place in America.
