Collection de 24 bouquets de fleurs. Paris: Chez l'éditeur, 1835

Condition Note:

4to (280 x 210mm.), engraved hand-coloured pictorial title, 24 hand-coloured engraved plates by Lambert after Vincent, contemporary calf-backed boards, spine gilt

Notes

a very rare suite of attractive floral bouquets, featuring among others roses, lilies, tulips, etc. Madame Vincent (1786-1830) was a pupil of the great flower painters Van Spaendonck and Redouté, and the present engravings are manifestly in that tradition. She exhibited at the Salon in 1814 and 1824. This edition not traced in the usual bibliographies.
