Lot 1020: Verner Moore White English Setters Oil Painting

Verner Moore White (American, 1863-1923) two English Setters hunting in the midst of a fall landscape; oil on board; 19 3/4" x 29 3/4"; signed lower right. Good condition; restored. White began his art career in Florida, later opening a studio in Alabama. In 1887, he left to study in Europe returning to American some years later. Known as a landscape and portrait painter, his canvases display a deep love of nature.
