Description

DESCRIPTION: Val McGann (American, 1928-). Oil on masonite. Titled "A Quiet Cove, Maine". Coastal scene with a view of a tributary, little fishing vessels and a shack on a hill. In wooden frame with matte board. McGann studied at the National College of Art, Dublin and the Byam Shaw College of Art, London. He has exhibited in Dublin, London, Boston, New York and Washington D.C. He had solo exhibitions in the House of Representatives, U.S. Capitol Building, Washington, D. C. and Butler Galleries. He is known for coastal scenes, maritime and landscapes. MEASUREMENTS: 19-1/5" x 15-1/2". Overall with frame 27-1/2" x 23-1/2". CONDITION: Minimal wear to frame especially along edges. No other defects noted.
