Surviving Stobwasser boxes of this type, known as spielekasten, are rare. One is illustrated in D. Richter, Lackdosen, 1988, p. 27; another, oriented vertically, sold, Sotheby's, Works of Art from The Royal House of Hanover, 10 October 2005, lot 2082.
