Lot 26: Two Thomas Campbell landscape paintings

Two TN landscapes by Thomas Campbell (Tennessee, 1834-1914). 1st item: Oil on board of a cow drinking at river's edge with trees along banks and blue sky. Unsigned. Good condition with one small scratch at left corner. Sight: 4 1/2" H x 8 1/4" L, Framed: 8 1/4" H x 12" L. 2nd item: Oil on board of panoramic mountain lake scene in pastel colors. Unsigned. Dirt beneath mat and minor scratches. Sight: 3" H x 9 1/4" W, Framed: 7 1/4" H x 13 1/4" H. Both with later giltwood frames. Provenance: Knoxville, TN collection, descended through the Bamberg estate, family of Thomas Campbell's second wife.
