TWO MATCHING ENGLISH SILVER SINGLE-LIGHT WALL SCONCES, THOMAS PARR / EDWARD VINCENT, LONDON 1698 / CIRCA 1720

arched backplates engraved with arms in Baroque cartouches flanked by birds with sprigs in their beaks and terminated by husk pendants issuing from lion masks, horseshoe shaped pans with raised borders and banded central sconces, the first fully marked in pan and with leopard's head erased on hook, candle sconce later, the second fully marked in pan, date letter not clear, maker overstriking another, and with lion passant on backplate and hook.
