MID-19TH CENTURY, CAST BY E. QUESNEL AFTER CHARLES CUMBERWORTH (FRENCH, 1811-1852) AND CHARLES AUGUSTE FRAIKIN (BELGIAN, 1817-1890)
The first modelled as a maiden holding a snake against her chest with a spray of flowers in her right hand, the second with a dove on her shoulder, one with cast signature 'G. Cumberworth', the other 'C.A. Fraikin 1841' and both inscribed 'E. Quesnel'
