TWO CARVED ARCHAISTIC 'DRAGON' PENDANTS

Late Qing Dynasty

The dragon pendant depicted low relief and incised lines, the mouth perforated for stringing, the stone mottled beige and brown in areas; the 'fish-dragon' with square snout and a pair of horns behind the ears, turning back to face its spreading wings, the scaled body tapered to a small fish tail, the mouth and tip of the wing perforated for stringing. Dragon: 5 1/8in (13cm) wide;
Fish-dragon: 4in (10.2cm) wide
