Notes

Tranquillio Orsi was a Professor of Architecture in Venice, who was responsible for the interior decoration of the theatre, La Fenice, in the Neo-Classical style after the fire of 1836. Sold together with four other drawings: Francesco Bartoli, A Ceiling Design; Giuseppe Valeriani, Design for a bed recess; Emile Wolff, Chimney piece design decorated with figures of Venus and Cupid; Giuseppe Manocchi, Section of the Sala Pianterreno by Algardi in the Villa Doria Pamphili, Rome
