Tony De Lautour Chain Skull oil and mixed media on canvas 200mm x 135mm De Lautour's gutsy touch oozes a deliciously rough and very touchable sensibility for paint which seems to have lived a life of its own. It's not a clean, tube packaged material, but some revolting paste scraped from a pulsating back street corner, shreds of hairy canvas ripped of Into the Void's recording room couch. There is something incredibly covetable about them and their delicacy - like bittersweet little cupcakes for the eye. IK
