Walker, born in 1970, studied at Exeter Art College, but perhaps more significantly as an assistant to Richard Avedon, from whom he learned to have the courage of his imagination. Walker's colourful, elaborately staged and styled work references a great age of grand elegance and theatricality that is a constant inspiration to him -- the era of Beaton, Parkinson and Penn. Cognoscenti of fashion history will recognise in the present image an homage to Horst, and to the Surrealist imagery of Salvador Dali.

AP1 aside from the sold-out edition of 2.
