The Towers, Didsbury, was built for J.E. Taylor, editor of the Manchester Guardian, and completed in 1868. Sir Nikolaus Pevsner described it as, 'the grandest of all Manchester mansions', The Buildings of England, South Lancashire by Nikolaus Pevsner, (1969). The Towers is now used for business accommodation.
