Notes

Taylor purchased his commission as Cornet in 1842 and was promoted Lieutenant in 1844 after which his name ceases to appear in the Regimental records. The 17th Lancers were stationed at Nottingham in April 1843, moving to Birmingham in the autumn of that year.
