* Provenance; Family collection of the artist. This work was completed following a sketch drawn 'En plein air' on St Ouen's Bay, prior to a gathering storm that was swiftly approaching and Theodore had to quickly leave the beach to find some shelter against the driving wind and rain.
A photograph of the drawing, together with a summary of this information will be included in the future publication of the artist's Catalogue Raisonné.
