Signed by the author and by Robert Ressler, the internationally known FBI profiler whom Harris consulted on while writing the book. Both signatures on a bookplate and affixed separately on the half-title page. Basis for the 1991 film starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster and winner of five Academy Awards.
