Notes

From time to time, Christie's may offer a lot which it owns in whole or in part. This is such a lot.
Little is known about Henry Duguid. He was a drawing master and music teacher who specialised in painting landscapes. The Lake of Menteith, in the Trossachs, is the only 'lake' in Scotland. The Island of Inchmahome in the midst is the site of Inchmahome Priory, an Augustine abbey founded in 1328.
