Description

The rectangular variegated grey marble top with molded edge and ovolu corners above a conforming apron, raised on circular tapered legs ending in offset pad feet. Height 28 3/4 inches, width 49 1/2 inches, depth 25 inches.Provenance: Descended in the Babbitt family of Wickford, Rhode Island; Ginsberg and Levy, Inc., New York; Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Gasque, Millbrook, New York and Palm Beach, Florida, and by descent to the current owner.Exhibited: "The John Brown House Loan Exhibition of Rhode Island Furniture," Providence, Rhode Island, Rhode Island Historical Society, May 16-June 20, 1965. no. 39.
