This famous image of Tennyson is from Men and Women of the Day. An example of it is in the National Portrait Gallery. A copy of the Macmillan Odyssey, 1887, with his signature on the flyleaf is listed as being in Tennyson's library (Tennyson in Lincoln, compiled by Nancie Campbell, 1971, vol. i. number 1178).
