Lot 404: Suzanne Brizard

French, 20th century a bust of a young woman signed: S. Brizard cream alabaster and gilt-bronze, on a cream alabaster socle 63 cm., 24 3/4 in. An accomplished sculptor, born at around the turn of the twentieth century, Brizard is recorded as working not only on figure and animal groups, but also on reliefs and medallions. She was a regular exhibitor at the Nationale and the Salon d'Automne from 1921.
