2 volumes, 4° text (254 x 203mm) and 2° atlas (423 x 309mm). Engraved portrait to text, engraved title and 34 plates to atlas. (Very light spotting throughout.) Contemporary full russia, marbled endpapers and edges.

VERY RARE IN THIS COMPLETE STATE. 'In Germany the first study of the nation's medieval architecture' (Nigel Yates, Liturgical Space: Christian Worship and Church Buildings in Western Europe 1500-2000, 2008, p.115). RIBA 3165 has the atlas only. (2)
