Signed lower right This piece was used as the cover for the cover of John Brunner's novel, The Squares of the City, Ballantine Books, 1965, based on an actual chess match (played for the world championship between American master William Steinitz and Russian master Mikhail Ivanovich Tchigorin). This piece has been matted and framed to an overall size of 12.5" x 18", and the art is in Excellent condition.
