Donald Ogden Stewart

Donald Ogden Stewart wrote screenplays for many notable movies, among them Keeper of the Flame, Dinner at Eight and The Philadelphia Story (for which he won an Oscar in 1939).

Blacklisted in 1954, Stewart worked in England until his death in 1981. His son, Donald Stewart, has written almost exclusively for magazines, among them The New Yorker. He recently directed Playboy's overseas publishing affairs and is currently preparing a memoir.
