SOWERBY, JOHN G. Three illustrations, comprising: i) Two children on a beach, 3 3/8 by 5 1/4 in., matted, glazed and framed (15 1/4 by 12 1/4 in.); ii) vignette of two peacock feathers and china, 2 1/4 by 3 1/4 in., matted, some browning and minor spotting ; iii) vignette of fan and vase on a shelf, 1 3/4 by 1 1/2 in., some browning ; all ink and watercolour drawings, unsigned, some minor spotting

The two vignettes were published in Thomas Crane's At Home (published in 1881). The other illustration is thought to be an abandoned illustration for that volume.
