SIMUNEK Jaroslav (14. 2. 1872 Prague - 23. 12. 1939 Kourim) Motif from the square Velkoprevorske namesti Oil on cardboard, 48 x 50 cm, framed, undated, signed lower right. Czech landscape painter, he studied at the School of Ceramics in Znojmo and under professor Schonleber in Germany, after his return he became a pupil of A. Slavicek. His chief theme was Prague and he drew inspiration from his travels abroad. His works were published in Zlata Praha. See T 2/536.
