SHIPOV, PAVEL DMITRIEVICH (1860-1919), A collection of nine coloured plates of Russian Military Costumes, including 8 chromolithographs heightened with tempera, and one chromo-typogravure, all after Shipov, mounted in album of dark green half levant morocco, 745 x 580 mm total size, St. Petersburg and Paris, 1886-1891. Ex-libris Alexandre Sementchenkoff on the inside front cover along with another ex-libris. The first lithograph in the book, "Drapeau des Cosaques de L'Oural," is signed and dedicated in ink by the Shipov in French (as P. de Shipow), with the dedication date of May, 1893.
