* Shimidzu (H.). El Oso of Yokohama Japan 1930, gouache and water colour on silk, titled, signed and dated in body colour in lower right margin, 33.5 x 46cm (13.25 x 18 inches), framed and glazed. A highly competent painting of a British merchantman steaming past Mount Fujiyama. Painted in the Neapolitan style but presumably by a Japanese artist. (1)
