In this series Shadi Ghadirian elegantly combines photography with digital imagery to combine the female body, concealed in black against a black background, which is subtly revealed by icons familiar to us all from the Windows computer platform. Thus the artist reveals something of the fragile balance between tradition and modernity, which links these works to those in her previous series.
