SETH EASTMAN (1808-1875) ON THE HUDSON 7 7/8 x 11 3/4 inch paper size, signed S. Eastman in pen below the image on a mat that mounts the piece, only a date of 1850 in the image. A full composition with goat, mansions, schooners and a distant town visible. Eastman graduated West Point, rose to the rank of Brigadier General.
