Description

Sergey Mironenko / The Transnational First Class Order of the Enemy of the People with a promotion to the honorary rank of the Agent of the Foreign Intelligence Service. 2013. Heavy metal, enamel, screw fastening, number 89, in a case including an Order Card. Diameter 6.5 cm. Sergei Mironenko was born in Moscow in 1959. From 1976 to 1981 he studied at the Moscow Art Theater School in the production department. 1978-1984 - member of the group Mukhomors (Amanita), which added to the tradition of Moscow conceptualism in its carnival note. 1982-1984 - permanent exhibitor and participant of the APTART Gallery. In 1984-1987 - worked in the theater as an artistic director, designing books and magazines. Since 1985 he has been a member of the City Committee of Graphs. 1986-1987 he worked as the main artist in the Nature magazine. Since 1987 - the Club of Avant-gardists (KLAVA) member. 1989-1990 - scholarship of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (USA). Since 1993 - member of the Union of Artists of Russia. In 1996 he created Image Design Group and participated in Boris Yeltsin's presidential election campaign. He worked as an exhibition designer for the Moscow House of Photography, for the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg in the Cathedral of the House of Invalides (Paris), for ArtBazel Miami, for the Ekaterina Foundation and other projects. His works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Moscow Art Museum, The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (New Jersey), The Nasher Museum of Art at the Duke University (North Carolina), National Gallery of Victoria (Australia), Ludwig Forum (Aaheg), Szépművészeti Múzeum (Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest), and the Georges Pompidou Centre (Paris).

The conductor of the auction tries it's best to provide the very precise description of lots. Whenever it is important, special provenance papers could be made. However, it is important to take part in the pre-auction exhibition where items are offered up for inspection for a period prior to bidding.
All items offered at auction are given an estimated value by the auction house. This valuation is only an estimate and is not a guarantee of the object's resale value or its worth.
Once an object has been legally transferred over to the winning bidder, the auction house ceases holding any liability over the object. Any damages incurred due to its use or misuse is not the auction house's responsibility.
Although items may be listed in a catalog as being available for bidding, the auction house generally reserves the right to remove items from bidding at any time, for any reason.
All items successfully purchased by the bidder must be removed by the winning bidder within a time period set out beforehand by the auction house. The expenses incurred in moving the item are the winning bidder's alone. If the winner decides to use the assistance of the auction house to make the delivery of purchased lot, in each case depending on the country and city of delivery, size and weight of the lot, courier service, the final delivery price would be calculated.
