1899, weaf, 233 x 77 cm, lo. ri. monogr. GW over Schleswig-Holstein Flag. - The wall hanging is published with ill. in: E. Schlee: Scherrebeker Bildteppiche, Neumünster 1984, p. 295. So far, only three copies of this largest wall hanging designed by Weiland were known. The flag at the lower border is proof that the object was made directly in the Scherrebek manufactory a. not on Neustadt in Holstein, where the design was produced under licence since 1913. - German painter, graphic artist a. designer. After an apprenticeship as wall painter W. studied 1890-96 at the Düsseldorf academy.
