Samuel Towers R.Cam.A. (1862-1943) "The End of the Day" Signed, pencil and watercolour heightened with white, 30.5cm by 41cm Born in Bolton, Lancashire 17th Sept 1862 he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1884 onwards and also at the Royal Institute. He was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in 1903 and his principal works included "Bolton from the Park" and "Springtime". He lived for some years at Harvington in Worcestershire.
