Description

PINE Hanging scroll, ink on paper 35 x 48.3 cm. (13 3/4 x 19 in.) Signed: Sa Tianxi One seal of the artist; Tian Xi Zhi Ten collectors' seals, including: Wen Peng (1498-1573): Wen Peng Zhi Yin; Xiang Yuanbian (1525-1590): Xiang Zi Jing Jia Zhen Cang; Qianlong Emperor: Qian Long Yu Lang Zhi Bao, Qian Long Jian Shang, Shi Qu Bao Ji, San Xi Tang Jing Jian Xie, Yi Zi Sun (complete set of five seals); and Shan Yin Wang Shi Jia Cang; Zui Li Cao Shi Zhen Cang; Nan Du Shi Jia NOTES (US$51,600-64,500) NOTE: Sa Duci, sobriquet name Tianxi, was Uighur by birth. In the fourth year of the Taiding era (1327), he passed the official examination, becoming a jinshi and started an official career.
