Description

Antique Very Rare Russian Lithograph of Praying Jew. From series of lithographs "Costumes of Russia" done by artist Lev Alexandrovich Belousov (1806-1864). Dated 1844. Costumes De La Petite Russie. Printed in Lemersier lithograph in Paris. Lev Alexandrovich Belousov (1806-1864) - artist and lithographer, performed lithographs for the most luxurious military publications of the time. The publisher of the album, Giuseppe (Joseph Khristoforovich) Datsiaro (1806-1865), is the owner of Russia's first publishing house of printed graphics, specialized in the publication and sale of lithographs, and kept stores in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Paris. From the beginning of the 1840s he printed his graphics mainly in the Paris printing house of Lemersieux. Size 8.5 x 10.5 in. Size in frame 13.5 x 15.5 in.

CONDITION & DESCRIPTIONS: All items are sold "as is". The auction house does not warrant authenticity on any specific piece. THERE ARE NO RETURNS. We can only offer our opinion and the material facts about the item. It is up to the buyer to determine authenticity before bidding and purchasing an item. If we state facts about gold or silver content or weight, it is sold as fact. Carat weights and quality are approximate and to the best of our knowledge and may vary by appraiser. Measurements are in inches and are approximates but within reasonable margins. If we note restoration, repair, damage, or defect to a piece in the catalog, look it over for yourself and bid accordingly. We try to picture damage in the online listings. Please ask for additional condition reports about specific concerns or additional images of any damage you are unsure of. If there is a problem concerning condition the buyer must notify us immediately and return the item at their expense within 10 days. After the 10 day period, all items are considered to have been sold "as is, where is". Buyer agrees to cooperate fully in filing any insurance claim. All items must be paid for within 7 days of the auction. After 7 days we will file a dispute against the buyer and LiveAuctioneers bidding may be disrupted. We will not remove a dispute until the item is paid in full. Items that are paid for and left over 60 days will be considered abandoned to the auctioneer. Item may be disposed of with no proceeds due the original purchaser. By signing up for this auction you agree that you will forfeit any purchases which are not pick up more than 60 days after the auction. Items left over 14 days will incur a $5 per day additional handling charge. Items will not be released until these additional handling fees are paid.

RESTRICTED ITEMS: It is the buyer's responsibility to abide by their local laws, including not bidding on or buying items that are restricted in their local area. We will not release a buyer from purchasing an item restricted in their area and disputes will be filed with liveauctioneers for non-paying bidders.

REGISTRATION: Online bidders must have a credit card on file with the prevailing online auction service. The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer shall decide the buyer. Some lots are offered subject to reserve, which is a confidential minimum price below which such a lot will not be sold. The record of sale, kept by the auctioneer and clerk, will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes.

BUYER'S PREMIUM: A buyer's premium of 25% of the hammer price shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. The total sales price is subject to applicable sales tax. Complete payment is required in cash, certified check, or Credit card. In the case of online auction purchases, payment must be received within 10 days. It is recommended that you use Overnight trackable method to make your payment.

REMOVAL and HANDLING CHARGES and FORFEIT OF ITEM: Items purchased may be removed once payment is made. Item must be removed from our premises within 3 weeks of the auction. After 3 weeks, $5 per day per lot handling charges are assessed. Items will not be released until the handling charges are paid. Items left 60 days after the auction will be
considered abandoned to the auctioneer and may be disposed by the auctioneer at buyer's cost. BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS, BUYER AGREES TO FORFEIT ALL CLAIM TO ANY PURCHASES WHICH ARE NOT PICKED UP 60 days after the auction with no payment for value or recourse.

CLERKING and INTERNET BID ACCEPTANCE ERRORS: During the online bidding portion of the auction, it is possible for the internet clerk to award the winning bid to a bidder that was not recognized by the auctioneer. In these unfortunate cases, the auctioneer's record takes precedence and not the online bidding record. We will petition to have LiveAuctioneers remove the item from your buyer report. The Auctioneer reserves the right to make this determination and this decision is final and binding.

ABSENTEE BIDS: We offer the absentee bid service as a convenience to our patrons. We execute your bid as if you were in the audience, attempting to obtain the item at the lowest price. Antique Arena Inc. will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute any bid. These bids must be in writing or submitted to info@antiquearena.com Please bid using our preset increments listed on the catalog front page. Please keep in mind that because bid position can be unpredictable, it may be possible for someone at the auction or another absentee bidder to buy the item for your top bid price. Bids of the same value from two or more bidders will be awarded to the bidder who placed their bid earliest. The auctioneer's decision is final.
