Description

signed, original frame. Well known Illinois landscape painter. Ingerle studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and was a member of the Association of Chicago Painters and Sculptors, Palette & Chisel Academy, Cliff Dwellers, Bohemian Club, and the North Shore Art Association. He exhibited from the 1910s-40s, at the National Academy of Design, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Chicago Society of Artists, Carnegie Institute, All-Illinois Academy of Fine Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago. His work is in numerous public collections in the Chicago area. Ingerle painted in the Missouri Ozarks, Brown County, Indiana, and in the Smoky Mountains.
