2 parts in one volume, folio (607 x 477mm.), 2 engraved pictorial titles, 110 engraved maps (world map folding, 23 double-page, 86 full-page: part 1 with 97 maps, part 2 with 13 maps), all but one map hand-coloured in outline, titles, armorials and cartouches plain, white pigskin gilt by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, spine gilt with Pease crests, lower margins dampstained from map 68 to end (but not dirty), occasional small wax-marks
