RODOLFO CLAUDUS (1893-1964) "U.S.S. CONSTITUTION". Large oil on canvas nautical scene shows the U.S.S. Constitution battling another ship which is ablaze and in pieces. A recovery boat is taking on survivors. Signed lower left and dated "1936". On back stretcher is artist name, title and "Milan, Italy". Housed in a painted and partial gilt molded wood frame.
