Robert Erskine's influences come from a variety of sources including standing stones, burial sites and ancient man's efforts to leave markers on the landscape.

Created in 1978 this sculpture was a working maquette for a large sculpture - and a catalyst to many other standing forms including Power Rhythm, a 50 foot sculpture for the City of Peterborough.
