Robert Pouyard (20th Century) Abstract Composition Pochoir print, 30 x 29.5cm Signed and dated 1929, stamped Moly Sabata Edition Around 1924, Robert Pouyard came to be taught by Albert Gleizes but Gleizes passed him on to Mainie Jellett. They were all later to set up a community of artists in the summer of 1927 at Moly-Sabata on the banks of the Rhone south of Lyons and along with Evie Hone and together they produced these pochoirs. It was a tough ardous life and Pouyard and his wife left the community in 1930.
